Merriment at Ely Cathedral - Raising money for Children's Hospices
Limesquare are proud to have contributed to a recent charity ball held in aid of East Anglia's Children's Hospices at Ely Cathedral (EACH).
Every year the Ely Fundraisers organise a charity ball to be held in aid of a worthy local charity, and this year proved to be particularly special as Ely Cathedral was secured as the venue. A stunning piece of historic architecture, the cathedral was a fantastic platform for what turned out to be a wonderful evening.
Limesquare happily contributed to this worthy endeavour, with proceeds going towards a table organised and run by Milton Keynes Depot Manager Maxine. Many other local companies also contributed towards the event, either by offering prizes for the raffle, services on the evening or by donating money towards the running of the event. So far the profit raised by the evening totals over £5000, but this is not the final count as proceeds are still coming in.
All who attended had an excellent evening, with one couple saying "Thank you for arranging a wonderful evening ... It was a great location, a good event and wonderful of course to see all of you.".
We would like to congratulate Ely Fundraisers for raising so much to go towards such a tremendous cause, and are already looking forward to next year's Charity Ball.
[Update 31/10/2012] The final totals are in and Ely Fundraisers have managed to raise a massive £5,267.43. Well done to everyone involved!
