Cycling 900 miles for Medical Detection Dogs
On 10th September 2012 Donald Lambert led a small team from the company Onswitch on a 900 mile cycle ride to raise money for Medical Detection Dogs. Medical Detection Dogs is a charity that trains dogs to help people with life threatening health conditions, and strives to give them more independence as well as potentially saving their lives on a daily basis. For more information on this worthy cause please see http://medicaldetectiondogs.org.uk.
The Onswitch team cycled in relay for 900 miles from Alness (Scottish Highlands) to Brighton (South coast) over a period of just four days, with each member cycling for a solid 4 hours before handing over to the next cyclist. This went on continuously through both day and night, with short stops at twenty of Onswitch's veterinary clients along the way.
