A Cut Above The Rest!
Limesquare were thrilled to lend transportation to local hair salon owner, Christine Spicer, to assist in her efforts to give something back to the community by offering free haircuts to the homeless in Milton Keynes.
Christine Spicer is the owner of the recently opened 'New York's Hair & Beauty' salon in Bletchley. As a volunteer in her spare time, Christine loves giving back to the community; when she was presented with the suggestion of 'homeless haircuts' from one of her stylists, Tanisha Selyer, she jumped at the opportunity. Working with her trusted team of stylists, along with local homeless support agencies and charities, the team worked tirelessly on August 14 to snip the barnets of those in need.
When Chris Tudge, Limesquare's Milton Keynes branch manager, heard that Christine and her team were in need of transportation to help collect her patrons, he immediately volunteered to make a minibus available for this worthy cause.
Speaking of the event, Chris said: "Limesquare loves getting involved with local initiatives such as this, so what better way to ensure access to all those in need than by providing the 'wheels' to facilitate it!"
Christine wants to see this become an annual tradition participated in by all the hair salons in the area, we look forward to continue lending our support again next year to this very worthy cause!
