A Night of Fashion
The evening of Wednesday 17th April saw a transformation so rare members of the public queued up to see it – Maxine (Regional Manager for Bucks and Cambs) swapped her oily everyday work clothes for gorgeous evening wear at the Charity Fashion Show held at Towcester Town Hall.
The Fashion Show saw a host of local beauties step out in style in front of a captive audience to raise money for the local charity Support and Friendship for Families, a community orientated organisation that offers one-to-one personalised support for struggling parents and families.
With different categories throughout the evening the catwalk was abuzz with stunning outfits and accessories, most of which were supplied by Flair Designer Wear. Run by Sawson Gamgoum, Flair Designer Wear offers an exclusive collection of designer outfits with a focus on both style and glamour, with the outfits available either to buy or for hire. Other local companies also exhibited their ranges, including Sheer Delights who donated outfits to the swimwear and underwear categories.
The evening raised a very impressive £700 through ticket sales, a raffle and kind donations, with all proceeds going towards Support and Friendship for Families.
The charity team would like to thank all of the models who gave up their time to display the beautiful outfits, Erroll who kept everyone on schedule on the cat walk with the music and to all the helpers and volunteers that made the evening such a success.
Maxine said that "a good time was had by all and it was so nice to see the local community and shop owners come together to raise money for the charity." She went on to say that she was even happier that she "didn't trip over or fall off the cat walk!"
Whilst Maxine has admitted that she is no Kate Moss, we think she looked stunning on the night and are very proud of the money she helped to raise for a very worthwhile charity. We are eagerly awaiting the date for next year's show!
